Asimina triloba ‘KSU Benson’ – Grafted PawPaw – 1-Quart

$39.00

Similar in size to other selected varieties, but with a lower ratio of seed to pulp – so more fruit, less seed. The fruit is a little more orange in color than most other varieties, and it tends to have unblemished skin, suggesting that it may have some resistance to the fungus Phyllosticta, which causes lesions on the epidermis of the fruit of many other cultivars. Named in honor of Dr. Harold R. Benson who served as director of the KSU Land Grant Program for more than 36 years.
