Betula papyrifera ‘Renaissance Reflection’- Paper Birch- 7 Gallon

The white bark of many species of birch has long been prized for its ornamental value. Many of the species are of European or Asian origin and are highly susceptible to an insect pest called Bronze Birch Borer. Our native Canoe or Paper Birch is considerably less susceptible. Birches are cool climate trees – in order to thrive, they must be sited properly. A sunny, moist situation is ideal; avoid hot and dry. Renaissance Reflection® was selected at Evergreen Nursery in Wisconsin for its broad, dense pyramidal growth habit, bark color changing from mahogany reddish brown to white at maturity, very high resistance to Bronze Birch Borer and drought resistance.
