Clematis x ‘Blue Angel’- Hybrid Clematis (Non-Native)- 5 pint

This spectacular clematis may have some native C. crispa parentage – our surmise is based on the color and “crisped” tepal edges. Research as we might though, nothing seems to be known about the horticultural history of ‘Blue Angel’ other than the fact that it was created by Brother Stefan Franczak, a monk who for more than 50 years has been gardener at the Jesuit Theological College in Warsaw, Poland.

Received the Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society in 2002.
