Cornus alternifolia – Pagoda Dogwood – 7-Gallon

A small tree with a graceful, tiered branching pattern suggestive of the architecture of a pagoda – unmistakeable and quite ornamental. The small white flowers give off a musky-sweet aroma. Fruits mature in early summer, turning from green to pink then dark blue, often with all three colors present for a time on each red panicle – birds love them.
