Delphinium exaltatum – Tall Larkspur – 1-Quart

All Larkspurs are somewhat short-lived self-sowing perennials. Tall Larkspur is much longer-lived than the horticultural hybrids common in gardens and usually does not need staking. A large, vigorous plant that is indigenous to woodland edges and open woods from Pennsylvania southward. Grayish-green leaves and purple-blue flowers put on a show in late summer. Prefers a bit of moisture and some shade, though we grow ours in a somewhat dry sunny border.
