Fragaria ‘Flavorfest’- Strawberry – 3 Quart

$11.00

A new release from the USDA Beltsville Research Center in Maryland for the mid-Atlantic and Northeast. ‘Flavorfest’ has excellent resistance to red stele and leaf diseases and shows no susceptibility to anthracnose crown or fruit rot. Susceptibility to botrytis fruit rot is similar to or lower than other varieties. Thus ‘Flavorfest’ is a great choice for organic growers and backyard gardeners. Fruits are an attractive bright red color with excellent flavor. Berries are large and hold their size through the season. It grows vigorously so don’t over-apply nitrogen fertilizers.
