One of the best keeping apples you will ever find, Goldrush’s flavor actually gets better with time. An intense sweet/tart balance at harvest in mid-October, the flavor mellows to a rich sweetness by November. Keeps its firm texture and flavor through June in common refrigeration. Superb flavor is perfect for cider and pies. Very quick to bear and annually productive. ‘Goldrush’ is a great choice for organic growers because it is highly resistant to apple scab and powdery mildew, though it is susceptible to cedar-apple rust. Because it is very late to ripen ‘Goldrush’ may not ripen fully if grown at higher elevations in the Catskills.
