Rhododendron x ‘Landmark’ – Small Leaf Rhododendron – 5-Gallon

A Mezitt hybrid involving the Carolina Rhododendron (R. minus var. carolinianum) from the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains, our native Roseshell Azalea (R. prinophyllum) and the Korean Rhododendron (R. mucronulatum). Up close, the color is an intense, deep fuchsia-pink, but from a distance it’s the closest color to red of all the early-spring rhododendrons. Foliage turns bronzy black in winter. Upright, open habit. Cold hardy to zone 5b (-15°F).
