Rhododendron x ‘Olga Mezitt’ – Small Leaf Rhododendron – 2-Gallon

This is a tried and true, small-leaved, early-flowering rhododendron that ushers in spring with bright pink flowers – closer to true pink than ’PJM’, but with a bit more purple than ‘Aglo’. Blooms just as ‘PJM’ is finishing. Foliage takes on mahogany tones in winter. Morning sun and afternoon shade is ideal, but does well in full sun if protected from wind in winter. Cold hardy to zone 4b (-25°F). A Mezitt hybrid involving the Carolina Rhododendron (R. minus var. minus) from the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains and Dahurian Rhododendron
