A 1998 introduction from Cornell’s Ag Experiment Station at Geneva. This firm fruited, late season, summer bearing red raspberry produces large tasty fruit over the entire course of its season which often continues for almost a month. The late ripening season bridges the gap between early and mid-season summer-bearers and fall-bearing raspberries. Encore is very productive, producing fruit on vigorous, erect, nearly spineless canes.
