Veronicastrum virginicum – Culver’s Root Cultivars

Culver’s Root typically has white flowers. There are a number of varieties in horticulture with flowers in the pink to purple range. We suspect these colorful varieties may be derived from hybridization with a congener from Asia, V. sibiricum, which typically has purplish flowers, though we don’t know for sure.
